Liverpool FC vs Como Match Preview, Prediction, Timings, Lineups, Teams, and How to Watch

Anfield gets one more pre-season run-out this summer as Liverpool FC take on Como on Sunday, August 16, 2026. It’s the perfect final tune-up before the Reds dive into a new Premier League campaign under Andoni Iraola, and Como arrive full of Serie A confidence after a strong 2025-26 finish.

Liverpool head into this one on the back of a mixed pre-season — a 2-4 loss to Leeds and a 1-0 win over Wrexham — while Como have been building nicely under their own project. Expect a lively, high-tempo friendly with both sides testing squad depth ahead of the real action. Sky Sports

Liverpool FC vs Como: Overview

Team News & Likely Lineups

Iraola is expected to rotate heavily, giving fringe players and academy prospects minutes at Anfield. Como, meanwhile, will look to field a settled XI to build match sharpness before their Serie A opener. Confirmed lineups typically drop about an hour before kickoff — check back closer to the match for the official team sheets.

Prediction

On current pre-season form, Liverpool should have the edge at home, but with squad rotation likely on both sides, expect goals at either end rather than a clinical scoreline. A narrow Liverpool win or an entertaining draw looks the most probable outcome.

How to Watch

The 6pm kickoff will be available through Liverpool’s official global broadcast partners, while the earlier closed-doors match streams free on All Red Video. Fans should check local listings closer to matchday for regional TV and streaming rights.
