There has been a lot of rumours about the availability of the upcoming Zen 3 based processors including Ryzen 4000 CPUs and EPYC Milan server processors. Obviously, launching the Ryzen 3000XT processors was a move that got both negative and positive opinions, negative being AMD will not be able to deliver Ryzen 4000 CPUs that’s why they have substituted with these Matisse refresh processors.

On the other hand, positive views being this is a smart move to extend its portfolio, offering the XT processors for those who need higher clock speed and bringing down the prices of its predecessors. However, the recent tweet in which AMD CEO Lisa Su clearly tells how excited AMD is to announce the availability of their new Ryzen 3000XT CPUs on July 7, exactly the day a year ago when it all started with Ryzen 3000 & Radeon RX 5000 series GPUs.

The thing she also pointed out that the Zen 3 CPUs are looking great in the lab and AMD will be certainly launching them this year, which totally demolishes those previous rumours.

Obviously, the COVID-19 has affected every sector out there, so a mere delay in release of the next-gen Ryzen 4000 processors is still bearable. These Vermeer CPUs will be manufactured on TSMC’s 7nm+ EUV process which will be a big step up from current generation Zen 2 processors with rumours slated to say that these upcoming CPUs will deliver 15% IPC uplift than last gen.

Also, there a lot of rumours surrounding the upcoming Ryzen 4000 Renoir APUs based Zen 2 architecture, most likely, AMD will be launching both of them soon but the Renoir APUs should be available faster than the Vermeer ones. Only time will tell that, but if we do get the info we will be updating you all, but in 2020 more exciting stuff is coming from AMD.
