LG Electronics revealed its ambitious “AI in Action” vision at the LG World Premiere event ahead of CES 2026, transforming artificial intelligence from a conversational tool into an active agent managing homes, vehicles, and commercial spaces. The showcase introduced groundbreaking products including the CLOiD home robot, designed to make the “Zero Labor Home” a reality.
AI in Action: Three Core Pillars
LG CEO Lyu Jae-cheol emphasized that the company’s strength lies in understanding real homes through decades of consumer electronics leadership. The strategy rests on three foundations: Affectionate Intelligence evolving into action-oriented AI, industry-leading products built on core technological excellence, and a seamlessly orchestrated ecosystem extending beyond homes to vehicles and commercial environments.
LG CLOiD Home Robot
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Design | Two arms with five-fingered hands |
| AI Models | Vision Language Model (VLM), Vision Language Action (VLA) |
| Tasks | Folding laundry, organizing dishes, cooking assistance |
| Safety | Stable operation around children and pets |
| Training | Tens of thousands of hours of household task data |
| Integration | Connects with ThinQ ecosystem appliances |
The CLOiD robot represents physical AI that can retrieve milk from refrigerators, place croissants in ovens, initiate laundry cycles, and fold garments after drying. Its head functions as a mobile AI home hub with cameras, sensors, voice-based generative AI, and a chipset brain that learns living patterns and controls connected appliances.
AI-Powered Product Lineup
Beyond CLOiD, LG showcased the OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV with a 9mm-thin design featuring the α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 and Hyper Radiant Color Technology. The updated SIGNATURE refrigerator understands conversational language to adjust storage settings, while the SIGNATURE Oven Range uses Gourmet AI to identify ingredients and recommend recipes.
Expanding Beyond Homes
LG’s AI strategy extends to mobility with AI-powered in-vehicle solutions earning the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award. These include gaze-tracking systems, seamless home-to-vehicle entertainment, and adaptive displays. The company also advances AI-ready HVAC solutions for data centers through partnerships with companies like GRC and Flex.
The LG World Premiere attracted over 1,000 guests including global media and industry experts, with thousands more joining via livestream. Visitors can experience the complete vision at LG’s CES 2026 booth (#15004, Las Vegas Convention Center, January 6-9).
