Warner Bros. Games and DC have dropped a new cinematic for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight — and it’s a pure nostalgia hit. The clip recreates The Joker’s legendary art museum takeover from the 1989 Batman film, complete with Prince’s iconic “Partyman” soundtrack, now delightfully reimagined in LEGO form.

Why This Is One of 2026’s Most Anticipated Games
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight isn’t just another LEGO title — it’s the most ambitious Batman game TT Games has ever attempted. The campaign spans Bruce Wayne’s entire journey from origin to legend, drawing on decades of Batman films, TV shows, comics, and games.
The newly revealed cinematic is a perfect preview of the tone: faithful enough to trigger genuine nostalgia for 1989 fans, yet playful enough in LEGO form to delight newcomers. Setting the museum sequence to Prince’s “Partyman” — which the film famously debuted — is a bold creative choice that signals TT Games understands exactly what made that film culturally significant.
The pre-order structure is generous: the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit for all pre-orders plus the 1939 Golden Age Batsuit for WB Games account holders gives collectors strong incentive to commit early. Nintendo Switch 2 owners will need to wait a little longer, but the Wishlist is already live.
