K-drama fans, mark your calendars — a fresh romance is brewing, and it’s stealing hearts before episode one even airs.
“Dream to You” just dropped new couple stills, and the internet is already swooning. The upcoming romantic comedy centers on the reunion of genius film director Woo Soo Bin, played by Hwang In Youp, and reporter Ju Yi Jae, played by Hyeri, who has forgotten her own dreams. But it’s the drama’s supporting couple that’s currently trending.
What’s The Buzz About?
The newly released stills feature supporting actor Shim Yoo Geon (Baek Sung Chul) and top actress Oh Ha Na (Lee Yul Eum), giving fans a glimpse of their youthful, budding romance. soompi
Their dynamic works because it’s a classic opposites-attract setup:
| Character | Actor | Backstory |
|---|---|---|
| Shim Yoo Geon | Baek Sung Chul | A struggling supporting actor chasing the dream of becoming “Korea’s Takeshi Kaneshiro,” fueled by the belief that hard work never betrays you soompi |
| Oh Ha Na | Lee Yul Eum | A bold, outspoken actress raised in the spotlight thanks to her mother, a former Miss Korea turned actress, now craving a life beyond film sets soompi |
Oh Ha Na unexpectedly crosses paths with Shim Yoo Geon, whose stubborn persistence sparks an unforeseen relationship between the two. The new stills capture their subtle chemistry as they gaze warmly into each other’s eyes, contrasting Shim Yoo Geon’s part-time gig as a delivery driver with Oh Ha Na’s glamorous life at a production press conference.
It’s a slow-burn, “different worlds colliding” trope — and honestly, that’s exactly why fans of the Korean drama genre can’t stop talking about it.
