One member says goodbye, and another steps in. Here’s the full story behind the latest cast shake-up on Korea’s most enduring variety show.
2 Days & 1 Night : The Official Confirmation
On May 14, Lee Ki Taek’s agency KEYEAST officially confirmed: “It’s true Lee Ki Taek will be joining 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4.” He joins as the new youngest member of the cast. AsianWiki
The announcement comes just two days after the show announced the departure of its previous youngest member.

Why the Change? Yoo Seon Ho’s Exit Explained
Member Yoo Seon Ho, who had spent three and a half years on the show since joining in December 2022 as the first member born in the 2000s and the youngest in the program’s history, is graduating from 2 Days & 1 Night. He plans to focus on his acting career, and will deliver his final farewell directly to viewers through the broadcast on May 31.
Prior to Yoo Seon Ho’s departure, comedian Cho Se Ho had also stepped down in early December 2025, leaving the show with only four active members — making the recruitment of a new member essentially inevitable.
Who Is Lee Ki Taek?
Having made his debut as a model, Lee Ki Taek has since built an impressive acting résumé across hit dramas including Moonshine, The Devil Judge, Three Bold Siblings, My Happy Ending, Namib, and The Practical Guide to Love. He is currently starring in the variety shows Bonjour Bakery and Beopryun Road: The Monk and the Guest.
His variety show experience makes him a natural fit for the unpredictable, high-energy format of 2 Days & 1 Night.
