Lee Dong Wook handled the situation with remarkable maturity, acknowledging the irony that these users are still financially supporting him despite their negative comments. “From an economic perspective, I’m thankful that people pay to subscribe to me, even if it’s to leave comments like that,” he shared with a sense of humor.

The Bigger Picture

The actor’s comments have sparked important conversations about modern fan culture and the phenomenon of “anti-fans” who pay for direct access to celebrities only to criticize or harass them. Some believe these users are trolling for attention or attempting to provoke reactions.

Expert Insight on Fan Psychology

Lee’s genuine curiosity about the psychological aspect reveals a deeper understanding of human behavior. His comment “I want to see their face to see what kind of expression they have when writing it” shows his attempt to understand rather than simply dismiss the behavior.
