The Leaked Photo That Sparked Outrage

The controversial image shows Mihir appearing intoxicated while hugging Noina, with both wearing outfits matching those from Angad’s wedding track, suggesting this scene will air soon. The photo quickly went viral on Reddit and other social media platforms, drawing widespread criticism from viewers.

One user called it the “heights of shame” and stated it was “disgusting and intolerable,” while another remarked sarcastically about Mihir’s previous lectures on sanskar and parampara. The backlash highlights how deeply invested fans remain in protecting the show’s original values.

Why Fans Are Furious

The outrage stems from multiple factors. Viewers recall that Mihir previously cheated on Tulsi with Mandira, and many are adamant that Tulsi should not forgive him again. Fans argue that repeating similar storylines diminishes Tulsi’s character strength and contradicts the sanskaar (values) the show originally championed.

Social media reactions included comments like “How is he drunk whenever this happens? His character is trash this season” and “Mihir is a huge red flag”. Many viewers expressed disappointment that the makers are tarnishing the legacy of a cult classic that defined Indian television for years.

The Current Storyline Context

The show currently features high drama as Angad recently escaped his own wedding with Mitali, abandoning her at the mandap to secretly marry Vrinda in a temple, leaving Mihir shocked after learning about it through news. Amid this chaos, the upcoming Mihir-Noina twist threatens to overshadow the main storyline.

Earlier episodes revealed that Noina spiked Mihir’s drink during a business trip to the US and confessed her feelings while he was intoxicated. This pattern of Mihir being repeatedly shown drunk in compromising situations has frustrated longtime fans who remember the character’s original dignified portrayal.

The Show’s Legacy at Stake

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi isn’t just a television show—it’s a cultural phenomenon that defined the early 2000s. The original series created television history with its portrayal of family values, relationships, and strong female characters. The return of original cast members including Smriti Irani as Tulsi and Amar Upadhyay as Mihir was meant to recapture that magic.

Netizens are calling the twist a “cheap” plot device that’s ruining the show’s legacy, with many stating they can’t continue watching if this is the direction the makers are taking. The criticism also extends to Noina’s character portrayal, with viewers questioning why a successful businesswoman would behave so irrationally.

Social Media Explodes with Reactions

The Reddit thread discussing the leaked image generated hundreds of comments, with fans expressing everything from disappointment to anger. Comments included “Drunk again, really? His character is trash this season,” “Makers lost it, showing Mihir like this,” and criticism about why a practical businesswoman like Noina would ruin her ethics for someone like Mihir.

Many fans are comparing this season unfavorably to the original, arguing that the makers are prioritizing sensationalism over meaningful storytelling. The overwhelming negative response suggests the production team may need to reconsider the direction they’re taking with these beloved characters.

What Happens Next

Based on the outfits in the leaked photo matching the current wedding track, viewers can expect this controversial scene to air within the next few episodes. The question remains whether the makers will listen to fan feedback or continue down this divisive path.

All eyes are now on how Tulsi will react when she learns about this incident, and whether the writers will give her character the strength fans believe she deserves. The situation has created intense anticipation—though not necessarily the positive kind the showrunners likely intended.

The Bigger Picture

This controversy highlights the challenges of reviving beloved shows. While Season 2 was meant to bring nostalgia and continue the Virani family saga, creative choices that deviate too far from original values risk alienating the core fanbase that made the show legendary in the first place.

Whether the makers will course-correct based on this backlash or defend their creative vision remains to be seen. One thing is certain—fans are watching closely and won’t hesitate to voice their opinions.
