Bigg Boss Tamil 10: Kumaran Quits With Rs 5 Lakh Cash Box, Citing His Father’s Health

Reality TV rarely gives us a moment this raw. In Bigg Boss Tamil 10, hosted by Vijay Sethupathi, contestant Kumaran Thangarajan walked out of the house on his own terms. He raised his hand the instant Bigg Boss announced the Rs 5 lakh cash box offer. It was not about the money. It was about family.

Why Did Kumaran Leave Bigg Boss Tamil 10?

Kumaran said his decision came from worry about his father’s health. He explained that his father is unwell and often forgets things, and that the thought of something happening while he was inside the house scared him. He did not want to live with that regret.

The move surprised viewers, because voluntary exits with the cash box are rare and most contestants stay for the title. Kumaran chose his father over the game.

A Heartfelt Thank-You to Fans

After leaving, Kumaran shared an Instagram video thanking viewers for their love. He said he was overwhelmed by the support waiting for him outside, and he still could not believe he could now call himself “Bigg Boss Kumaran”. He also recalled his father’s lifelong advice: earn people’s love. Knowing fans stand behind him, he said, has given him courage.

What This Means for the Season?

Kumaran’s exit adds another twist to a season already packed with drama, including evictions in earlier weeks and heated task clashes between housemates. Expect the remaining contestants to feel the shift in the house, and expect fans to debate whether he made the right call. Many will say he did.
