Some players shout to survive. Krystle D’Souza just watched, waited, and won trust instead — and it’s working better than anyone expected.

As The Traitors 2 races toward its finale, host Karan Johar publicly praised Krystle for playing a “very, very smart game,” and honestly, the receipts back him up. While housemates traded accusations and burned bridges, Krystle stayed low-key, read the room, and made her moves only when it truly mattered.

What Made Her Game Different

Krystle didn’t chase drama — she avoided it. When suspicion fell on her close friend Rhea Chakraborty during the Circle of Shaq, Krystle resisted the urge to defend her loudly. Jumping in could’ve painted a target on her own back, so she let the moment pass and stayed protected.

Her sharpest move came after Shahneel Gill was caught and eliminated by the Innocents, leaving Krystle as the last Traitor standing. Given the chance to recruit a new ally, she picked Rida Tharana — someone who had actually been hunting the Traitors. That one decision flipped a threat into a teammate.

The Traitors 2: Overview

Moment	Krystle’s Move	Why It Worked
Circle of Shaq (Rhea under suspicion)	Stayed quiet, didn’t overdefend	Avoided drawing suspicion onto herself
Shahneel Gill’s elimination	Became the last remaining Traitor	Survived the Innocents’ biggest strike
Recruiting a new ally	Chose Rida Tharana	Turned a Traitor-hunter into an ally
Current standing	Reached the final 6	Karan Johar called her gameplay “very smart”

The finale now features Krystle alongside Rida Tharana, Mallika Sherawat, and Shalini Passi, among others — a lineup shaped by exactly this kind of patient, calculated play.

The format itself owes its DNA to the original Dutch format that inspired global versions of the show, a genre now documented on Wikipedia’s overview of reality competition television.
