KRAFTON India has launched the BGMI 4.6 update, introducing a range of new gameplay experiences, India-specific content, global partnerships, and creator-led initiatives to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The update features the new Midnight Hunters theme mode, the return of Ocean Odyssey, the debut of Kiaraa—an original character developed for Indian players—and BGMI’s first India-specific Diwali Prize Path.
The season also includes collaborations with One Punch Man, Lincoln Motor Cruize, B.DUCK, and prominent Indian gaming creator Techno Gamerz. Enhancements to the WOW ecosystem, including upgraded creator tools, are also part of the update, which aims to broaden BGMI’s appeal as an entertainment platform.

KRAFTON India: Enter the World of Midnight Hunters
The BGMI 4.6 update introduces Midnight Hunters, a new supernatural theme mode available on Erangel from September 16 to November 16. Specific locations like Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry, and Gatka will become Vampire Takeover points, while Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base will transform into the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild, an indoor combat arena with challenges.
The mode features Guild Missions for special objectives and rewards, alongside a Hunter Shooting Range, Clock Tower, and Scream Crates. Players may encounter Bloodwalkers, Nightbats, the Vampire Elder, and the Nightkeeper. A central mechanic, Bloodline Awakening, allows eliminated players to return as Vampires, with up to 20 active simultaneously. Vampires gain abilities such as Claw Strike, Absorb, Blood Sense, and Blood Amberfication. New themed items include the Silvermoon Chain, Twilight Bat Wings, Scarlet Tonic, and Blood Pact.
Ocean Odyssey Returns
Following community demand, the Ocean Odyssey themed experience will return to Erangel on September 30. This reintroduces the Ocean Palace, Trident, Kraken, and underwater exploration elements that defined the mode during its initial run. The simultaneous availability of Ocean Odyssey and Midnight Hunters offers players varied thematic experiences within the same season.
Kiaraa: An India-First Character IP
The 4.6 season expands BGMI’s India-specific content with Kiaraa, an original in-game character IP developed by KRAFTON India’s in-house art team. Kiaraa will be introduced on October 8 with her own origin story, a dedicated location on Erangel, and a full cosmetic collection.
Kiaraa’s presence on Erangel centers around a new Diwali-themed Indian Bazaar. Players can activate four peacock-shaped lamps to awaken Kiaraa and initiate a Boss Battle, where squads can collaborate to defeat her for rewards. The Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection includes items such as the Divine Peacock Glider, Divine Radiance SCAR-L, Divine Chariot Buggy, Arrow Rain Emote, and Divine Edge Machete. Additionally, players can participate in Kiaraa Arena challenges, utilize the Kiaraa Exchange Center, and claim daily login rewards.
Diwali Celebration for India
BGMI will introduce its first India-specific Prize Path for Diwali, running from October 22 to November 15 across 20 levels.
