KRAFTON India today announced the launch of BGMI Campus MVP, a 90-day student leadership program. The initiative is designed to cultivate and expand Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) communities within India’s premier engineering institutions.

The program engages 150 student ambassadors selected from 17 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and 28 National Institutes of Technology (NITs). These ambassadors are tasked with organizing tournaments, creating gaming content, hosting campus meet-ups, and driving engagement among their peers. Structured across three distinct phases, Campus MVP aims to transition passionate players into community leaders.

Srinjoy Das, Director of Marketing and Product Management at KRAFTON India, stated, “BGMI has evolved beyond gameplay to become a platform for competition, content creation, and community building. Campus MVP represents the next phase of this evolution. By empowering students to lead gaming communities on their campuses, we are establishing environments where players can connect, compete, and collaborate, thereby shaping the future of gaming culture in India.”

The program attracted over 16,000 applications from more than 5,000 institutions nationwide. From this applicant pool, 150 ambassadors were selected for the inaugural cohort, with an additional 100 students placed in a reserve pool. The selection process focused on identifying students capable of championing BGMI within their institutions, encouraging peer participation, and facilitating gaming-related connections.

KRAFTON India: Ambassador Roles and Rewards

Ambassadors accumulate Rank Points (RP) upon completing assigned tasks across the three program phases, unlocking rewards at various tiers. These include welcome kits, e-commerce vouchers, in-game UC, and gaming peripherals such as trigger sets and premium headphones. The five best-performing ambassadors nationally will achieve the ‘Conqueror rank’ and receive rewards totaling up to INR 15,000. Players participating in ambassador-organized events will also be eligible for prizes, including food vouchers, premium vouchers, and BGMI merchandise hampers across the program’s phases.

Selected ambassadors have completed their onboarding and orientation and are currently engaged in organizing classic matches, developing campus-specific content, and executing community-building activities as part of the initial phase.

This program aligns with KRAFTON India’s ongoing strategy to deepen its engagement with the new generation of players, following initiatives such as creator partnerships and live experiences like HOT DROP.
