Kim Bo Ra Trades Places With Fate in New Chaebol-Swap Short Drama

Identity swaps and high-stakes rivalries are a K-drama staple, and Kim Bo Ra is diving right into the trend with her newly announced short-form drama, “I’m the Real Third-Generation Chaebol Heir!” It’s fast-paced, high-stakes, and exactly the kind of bite-sized drama built for binge-watching in one sitting.

The story follows Hae In (Kim Bo Ra), the true heiress to South Korea’s powerful MK Group, who’s living under a hidden identity, and Si Eun (Ahn Sol Bin), the impostor who’s taken her place. As the two compete for a coveted recommendation letter to the world’s most prestigious university, their rivalry escalates into a fierce power struggle where love, ambition, and family legacy are all on the line.

Kim Bo Ra: Overview

Kim Bo Ra takes on the role of Hae In, sole daughter of Chairman Seo, head of MK Group — South Korea’s top financial conglomerate and operator of Asia’s largest private equity fund. Despite her family’s massive wealth, Hae In is portrayed as fiercely independent, someone who chooses to carve her own path rather than lean on privilege, staying composed even when the pressure mounts.

The premise taps into a genre that’s exploded globally in recent years — short-form vertical dramas built for mobile viewing, packed with twists and delivered in quick, addictive episodes. ReelShort has become one of the platform leaders in this space, joining a growing wave of mobile-first entertainment that’s reshaping how audiences consume drama on the go.

With its blend of identity deception, elite rivalry, and forbidden romance, “I’m the Real Third-Generation Chaebol Heir!” looks primed to deliver all the chaebol-drama tropes fans love, condensed into a format built for quick, satisfying binges.
