Why This Pairing Is Special
The project coincides with Mohan Raja’s 25th year in the film industry, marking his 11th directorial venture. After action-packed and socially driven films like Velayudham, Thani Oruvan, and Velaikkaran, he is reportedly returning to the heartwarming family-drama genre that made blockbusters like Jayam and Santhosh Subramaniam so successful.
For Karthi, it’s a chance to switch things up. The role is expected to show him in a refreshing avatar, moving away from the action-oriented parts he has taken on in recent years.
Karthi’s Packed Schedule
The actor isn’t slowing down anytime soon. He is currently awaiting the release of Sardar 2 on September 10, has Marshal lined up next, and is simultaneously shooting for Karthi 30 with director Kalyan Shanka.
Mohan Raja, meanwhile, has built a reputation directing acclaimed commercial hits, including Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, and now brings that expertise to Prince Pictures’ latest venture with one of Tamil cinema’s most versatile leading men.
