There’s something about a celebrity baby shower done the traditional way that just hits differently. Actress Karishma Tanna and her businessman husband Varun Bangera didn’t go glam and flashy for their Godh Bharai — they went spiritual, and honestly, it’s the most refreshing thing we’ve seen all week.

Inside the Ceremony

Karishma shared exclusive glimpses of the function on Instagram, where her home was beautifully adorned with fresh floral arrangements, traditional décor, and an aura of serenity.

What made this baby shower stand out from the usual Bollywood fuss? A live bhajan group. The devotional music filled the air with chants and hymns, and the parents-to-be looked absolutely lost in the spiritual bliss. That’s the kind of content we didn’t know we needed.

Karishma looked breathtaking in a vibrant soft pink saree that gracefully concealed her baby bump, radiating her pregnancy glow and completing the look with classic jewellery. Varun, ever the doting husband, complemented her perfectly in traditional Indian attire. And yes — the couple were seen joyfully dancing together to the bhajans, enjoying every moment of stepping into parenthood.

How It All Started

Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera announced their pregnancy on April 6, 2026, sharing an adorable maternity shoot featuring matching ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad’ caps alongside a tiny pair of baby shoes — confirming that their little one is due in August 2026.

The Godh Bharai — India’s traditional equivalent of a baby shower — is a deeply rooted ritual that celebrates the mother-to-be and blesses the incoming child with love, prayers, and community.

On the work front, Karishma last wowed audiences in Hansal Mehta’s critically acclaimed web series Scoop and made a brief appearance in Call Me Bae. She’s now taking well-deserved time off to focus on her health and pregnancy.
