Josh O’Connor Read Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure” Script in Just One Hour — And Got the Role Same Day

In an exclusive interview, British actor Josh O’Connor revealed that he finished reading the script for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming sci-fi thriller Disclosure in just one hour — something extremely rare for him due to dyslexia. Normally, it takes him 3–4 days to fully absorb a script. But this one? He couldn’t put it down.

“I was always going to say yes because it’s Steven Spielberg,” he shared. “But it was nice that the script was brilliant as well.”

The film, which stars Emily Blunt in the lead role alongside O’Connor, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, and Wyatt Russell, explores humanity’s reaction to a massive UFO revelation that changes everything we know about life beyond Earth. It hits theaters on June 12, 2026.
