Joao Felix to have €100m price tag for January transfer

Joao Felix is expected to leave Atletico Madrid as soon as the January transfer window. The player’s relationship with manager Diego Simeone is completely broken, and the club believes that the best possible solution is to let him go.

The likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Manchester United and Arsenal are all keeping tabs on his situation. His agent, Jorge Mendes, is working to try and find a solution within the coming weeks.

Joao Felix to leave Atletico Madrid soon

The forward, playing for Portugal, was recently eliminated from the 2022 World Cup by Morocco in the quarter finals. His performance during the tournament was quite impressive, suggesting he can still achieve the heights he showed while at Benfica.

Joao Felix’s time at the Spanish capital has not been as promising as it was expected. There have been positive spells, but there have also been lows. Overall, the inconsistency has caused him to drop out of the squad on several occasions and has prevented him from having regular game time.

A change of scenery as soon as next week could be exactly what he needs to get things going. But, it will not come cheap for any club trying to sign him. They are reportedly expecting a price tag of €100 million to be met.

Almost every Atletico Madrid player is available on the transfer market, following their exit from Europe in the Champions League group stages. The financial blow will have to be compensated for by transfers – and Felix could be one of the names that walks out the exit door soon.
