Xiaomi and Reliance Jio collaborated with one another to test the Redmi K50i smartphone of the former company on its 5G network ahead of its launch on the 20th of July. The upcoming smartphone will carry support for a total of twelve 5G bands namely, the n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28a, n38, n40, n41, n77, and n78 bands.
Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G cleared multiple real-world tests with flying colors:
The Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will feature a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The device will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11T Pro+. It will be powered by the MTK Dimensity 8100 chip.
In the optics department, it will arrive with a 64MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter. The smartphone flaunts a 4,440mAh battery with support for a 120W fast charge.
Alongside the Redmi K50i, we will also see the Buds 3 Lite earphones launch. These buds arrive with 6mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth v5.2 support, and a battery life of up to 18 hours with an IP54 splash resistance rating.
Though Reliance is testing out its 5G connectivity on devices, there is a chance that Jio may not become the sole leader in terms of market share as Adani Group has also recently diversified into the telecom sector.
