In endurance tests, the Xiaomi 12S Pro and Ultra dethrone the iPhone 13 Pro Max

Endurance testing refers to tests typically done to find out whether an application can withstand the processing load it is expected to have to endure for a long period. During endurance tests, memory consumption is observed to determine potential failures.

The Xiaomi 12S continues to surprise reviewers even as the devices are being delivered to them, as it is demonstrated in one of the most recent performance review videos to go viral online that the Xiaomi 12S Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra outperform Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max in a screen-on-time (SoT) endurance test.

The Xiaomi 12S series of handsets are not only the world’s first to feature Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, but they also proudly display their new cooperation with Leica in the smartphone camera industry. The 12S Ultra is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor coupled with an innovative head dissipation system that might just rival the Apple A15 Bionic chip inside the iPhone.

Xiaomi wins screen time with the12S Pro and Ultra

On the 3DMark Wildlife Stress Test benchmark, it can be seen that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 found on Xiaomi 12 and 12S Ultra outperforms all other Android flagships in raw CPU and GPU performance, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the Realme GT 2 Pro and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC on the Redmi K50 Pro. The 8+ Gen 1 SoC however is still behind the Apple A15 Bionic SoC on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Stability-wise, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is also a major upgrade from the 8 Gen 1, as it now can perform within the same league as 2022 flagship SoC chips like the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Apple A15 Bionic chipsets.
