Best Voice and SMS Plans in India for 2025: Jio, Airtel, Vi, and BSNL Options Compared

Reliance Jio has two excellent plans to offer. This plan is priced at ₹1,748 and offers validity and benefits for 336 days including unlimited voice calls and 3,600 SMS. The ₹448 plan also includes unlimited voice calls and 1,000 SMS, but has a validity period of 84 days for those, looking to avail shorter period duration. These plans are best suited for Jio users who primarily use the network for calling and messaging.

Bharti Airtel has launched some new voice and SMS-only prepaid plans. The ₹1,849 plan provides unlimited voice calls and 3,600 SMS for an entire year (365 days), catering to users who want a long-term solution. On the other hand, the ₹469 plan also provides unlimited calls and the user gets it for 84 days but will have limits of 900 SMS, designed for users with medium-term plans.

Vi (Vodafone Idea) also has its share of competitive options. The ₹1,849 plan is the same as Airtel’s, offering unlimited calls, 3,600 SMS, and a validity of 365 days. For the second option, the ₹470 plan provides unlimited calls and 900 SMS for 84 days. The new plans offer Vi subscribers flexibility along with the benefits of messaging and reliable coverage.

Several of the most affordable plans are offered by BSNL. The ₹99 plan offers unlimited calling with a validity of 17 days, making it highly economical for short-term users. The ₹439 plan offers unlimited calling, along with 300 SMS and a validity of 90 days, for those who want a little extra. BSNL continues to be a preferred option in rural regions and for users with low data requirements.

Choosing the Best Plan

The best plan for you, though, will depend on how much you use those things and how much you want to pay. Both Airtel and Vi’s ₹1,849 plans offer the same benefits for long-term use of unlimited calling and enough SMS. For medium-term users, Airtel’s ₹469 and Vi’s ₹470 plans are both very good value for 84 days. For someone on a short-term or tight budget, BSNL’s ₹99 plan is the lowest cost option for unlimited calling, while Vi’s ₹179 plan offers a middle ground of services for a period of 24 days.
