What’s the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League?
The JT20CL is the inaugural T20 cricket league for the state of Jharkhand, owned by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) — the BCCI-affiliated governing body for cricket in the state — and organised by SJ Uplift Kabaddi Pvt Ltd. Think of it as Jharkhand’s very own franchise-based cricket league, built to unearth local talent and put the state firmly on India’s cricketing map.
JSCA is no small name. Headquartered in Jamshedpur and home to the prestigious JSCA International Stadium Complex, the association has a long track record of nurturing talent that has gone on to represent India at the highest level.
Why Was the Deadline Extended?
The extension wasn’t a sign of weak interest — quite the opposite. The League Organizers cited strong demand from prospective franchise owners across Jharkhand and beyond as the key reason for pushing the deadline. The goal is simple: give every serious, eligible investor a fair window to complete registration, KYC verification, and bid submission without being rushed.
All other terms of the Official Franchise Bidding Document (FBD), dated May 3, 2026, remain fully unchanged and in force. Only the closing date has moved.
