The Ed Henry Lawsuit

Eckhart became widely known in 2020 after filing a lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, accusing him of rape and sexual misconduct. Henry denied the allegations and maintained that their relationship was consensual. Fox News subsequently terminated Henry following an internal investigation.

Eckhart also named Fox News in her legal action. A federal court later dismissed the claims against the network, while her legal dispute with Henry continued. The remaining case against Henry was ultimately settled in June 2025 without a trial.

Following the settlement, Eckhart described the years-long legal process as extremely difficult and said she wanted to continue supporting other trauma survivors.

What Was Jennifer Eckhart Doing After Fox?

After leaving television, Eckhart created The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit focused on supporting trauma survivors through animal-assisted therapy.

She also launched the REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart podcast, using the platform to speak with people from business, sports and entertainment about adversity, personal setbacks and rebuilding their lives.

Her death brings renewed attention to a career that moved from television production to advocacy and independent journalism.
