Making Sense of the Results

The Session 2 result will be considered the final JEE Main result for 2025. It will contain critical information including your eligibility for JEE Advanced 2025. The All India Rank will be based on the better of the two sessions for candidates who appeared in both January and April sessions.

Dr. Anita Singh, an educational consultant, explains: “Students should understand that the JEE Main rank is based on normalized scores, not raw marks. This normalization process accounts for variations in difficulty levels across different sessions, ensuring fairness for all candidates.”

Eligibility Criteria for NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs

Beyond securing a good rank in JEE Main 2025, candidates must also meet additional eligibility criteria for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs:

• Minimum 75% marks in Class 12 board exams (65% for SC/ST candidates)
• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be among the subjects in Class 12
• Meeting the cutoff ranks for specific programs and institutes

As the countdown to the results begins, success stories from previous years offer perspective and hope. Aarav Sharma, who secured an NTA score of 99.98 in JEE Main 2024, advises: “Regardless of your result, remember that this is just one milestone. Stay focused on your goals and maintain your passion for learning.”
