Janhvi Kapoor‘s next movie revolves around cricket and the fans are excited to learn about the plot. The actor has already started training at a cricket camp under the guidance of Dinesh Kartik for her upcoming movie “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi”. The film stars the Dhadak star herself and her “Roohi” co-star Rajkumar Rao. The fans are very curious to know about the plot of the film. On Republic Day 2022, Janhvi posted on her Instagram a key clue about the film and since then, fans have been dropping speculations.
In the pictures, the actor is actually wearing a cricket helmet. She shared a photo of Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Kartik practising in nets. Janhvi also took some time to chill along with the film’s director Sharan Sharma and former Indian cricketer Abhishek Nayar. The pictures made the fans believe that it was going to be a cricket drama.
The 24-year old actor captioned the pictures “Cricket camp #MrandMrsMahi”. Janhvi and Rajkumar Rao are all set to play the character Mahima and Mahendra in the film. This is going to be Janhvi Kapoor’s second film with director Sharan Sharma. Earlier the director made his directorial debut with the 2020 film “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl”.
Cricket enjoys massive popularity in India and it would be very interesting to see its performance commercially. Dinesh Kartik is currently prepping for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). he has been associated with the team since 2018 and recently got released by the franchise.
The two new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad haven’t picked up their wicketkeeper and Kartik seems to be an ideal choice for this position. Though he is at a later stage of his cricketing career but still he’s a dependable wicketkeeper.
Abhishek Nayar has been serving KKR as the assistant coach and will continue to mentor the team in the upcoming season as well.
