Jacqueline Fernandez Is Finally Doing a Full Horror Film — And Shoot Begins This Month!

Bollywood’s horror wave just got a brand new leading lady. Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to headline her very first out-and-out horror film, and things are moving fast — principal photography is expected to begin by the end of June 2026.

What We Know So Far

According to an exclusive report, Jacqueline had been actively searching for the right horror script for a long time. That quest is finally over, and what sealed the deal was a script that doesn’t just lean into scares — it blends horror, emotion, and music into a complete cinematic package designed for a theatrical release.

A source close to the project shared, “What excited her about this film was its blend of horror, emotion, and music, making it a complete theatrical experience rather than just a genre film.”

The yet-to-be-titled film is being produced by Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment on a grand scale, and an official announcement is expected very soon.

Jacqueline Fernandez: Key Details

How Far Along Is the Project?

Further than you might think. A song and a teaser have already been shot, and the cast is currently busy in workshops ahead of principal photography. This isn’t a project in its early stages — it’s a film charging toward the camera.

Two male actors have already been finalized opposite Jacqueline, though their names are being kept under wraps for now.

Why This Is a Big Deal?

Jacqueline previously appeared in Bhoot Police (2021), but that was a horror-comedy — a very different beast. This new project marks her first foray into pure, uncut horror, making it a genuine genre first for the actress.

The timing couldn’t be better. Indian horror is in a golden moment right now — Shaitaan, Bramayugam, and the recently released Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past have all proven that audiences are showing up for the genre in a big way. Bollywood stars are clearly taking note.

On the work front, Jacqueline is gearing up for the release of Welcome To The Jungle on June 26, 2026 — so expect the horror film announcement to drop soon after the promotional dust settles.
