ISL 2022: ATK Mohun Bagan’s Dimitri Petratos makes it to the Team of the Week in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

FIFA 23 edition is the most recent and last release from the reputable video game development studio. It is in collaboration with FIFA, the world football governing organization. The most recent Team of the Week for FIFA 23 was issued by EA Sports, the FIFA publishing organization. Among the host of names selected, ATK Mohun Bagan forward Dimitri Petratos made the cut following his outstanding game against Kerala Blasters.

For ATK Mohun Bagan last week against Kerala Blasters, Dimitri Petratos sparkled. The striker scored three goals in a 5-2 victory at Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Ivan Kalyuzhnyi’s first goal was canceled out by Petratos’ equalizer. Then he added two more goals in the second half. In the end, he helped ATK Mohun Bagan earn their first victory of the year. 

With the performance, Petratos became the third ISL player to achieve the feat. Hyderabad FC stalwarts Bartholomew Ogbeche and Akash Mishra were his predecessors. Three players who do not compete in European leagues made the cut, and Petratos is one of them. Along with players like Lille’s Jonathan David and Real Betis’ William Carvalho, he is a substitute. They received cards that scored 82 and 83, respectively.

Petratos took place of Roy Krishna, a Fijian striker who departed for Bengaluru FC. He was a member of the Australian team that competed in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Petratos has played for A-league teams including Brisbane Roar, Western Sydney Wanderers, and Newcastle United Jets.

He will look to add to his tally in the next game which will be the iconic Kolkata Derby. ATK Mohun Bagan will face eternal rivals East Bengal FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium). They will look to their in-form striker to once again deliver the goods in the derby.
