IPL: The costliest XI of all time

IPL 2022 Mega Auction is just knocking on the door. IPL 2022 is the 15th edition of the premier league. A lot of players get bought from the auctions by various franchises at a very high price.

Let’s take a look at the all-time highest priced XI from the starting of the league till the latest season.

The IPL is a cash-rich tournament known by the entire world. It is a spectacular sport and also embraces wealth, glamour and showbiz. A lot of players have been brought by sky-high prices throughout the competition.

Chris Morris

He is the costliest player of the player. He was bought for a gigantic amount of 16.25 Cr in IPL 2021 by Rajasthan Royals.

Yuvraj singh

In 2015, Yuvraj Singh was bought by Delhi Capitals by 16 Cr and he was the second-highest priced player to date.

Pat Cummins

The Kolkata Knight Riders had bought the Australian pacer for an astronomical 15.5 Cr during the IPL 2020 auctions.

Ben Stokes

In 2017, Pune bought the all-rounder for 14.5 Cr and is in fourth place on the list.

In 2014 the batter was bought for 14 crores.

Ben Stokes makes his mark for the second time as Rajasthan Royals bought the player for 12.5 Cr in 2018.

Dinesh Kartik

Dinesh Kartik was bought by Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) for a whopping amount of 12.5 Cr in 2014.

Gautam Gambhir

Former skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders Gautam Gambhir was bought for 11.4 Cr in 2011 by the franchise.

KL Rahul

In 2018 KL Rahul was bought by Punjab Kings for a massive price of 11 Cr.

Glenn Maxwell

The last on the list is Glenn Maxwell. The Australian player was bought by Kings XI Punjab in 2020 for 10.75 Cr. The brand name of the franchise has been changed to Punjab Kings.
