IPL Media Rights Tender DAY 1: The value of media rights grow by Rs 43,050 Crores

The IPL Media Rights DAY 1 E-Auction is now closed. With all the BIDDERS still in the game, the BCCI has now made a profit of 43,050 crores. Bids have reached a total of 43,050 crores. Package A of Digital Rights for India is presently valued at 23,370 crores which is 57 crores per match, according to the most recent information. Package B of Digital Rights for India is valued at 19,700 crores which boils down to 48.04 Cr Per Match.

The IPL’s per-match value has surpassed 100 crores, making it more valuable than the Premier League. Only the NFL costs more than IPL rights. IPL Digital RIGHTS are valued at 48.04 crores per match, while Indian Subcontinent Broadcast Rights are valued at 57 crores.

For the IPL Media Rights Tender, the main battle is between Disney Star vs. Sony Network vs. Reliance Viacom18.

The bidders for the E-Auction

Indian Subcontinent (Package A) Broadcast: Reliance Viacom18, Disney Star, Sony Network, Zee (Unlikely to BID) – Bidding starts at 49 Crore, with 50 LAKHS increments.
Package B – Digital Indian Subcontinent: Reliance Viacom18 (Jio & Voot), Disney Star (Hotstar), Sony Network (SonyLIV), Zee (Zee5), Times Internet – Bidding starts at 33 crores, incremental bidding – 50 LAKHS

Non-exclusive Package C: Package C includes the following items: Playoffs night games of double header – Incremental BID – 15 LAKHS Grouping: 18 or more comprising of the opening match; Playoffs night games of double header – Incremental BID – 15 LAKHS
Package D – Rest of World: SuperSport, FunAsia, Times Internet – Bidding starts at 3 Crore, Incremental BID – 10 LACS – Bidding starts at 3 Crore, Incremental BID – 10 LAKHS.

Bundle A and B, which contain TV and digital rights, will be auctioned up until June 13th (tomorrow). Bidding for the remaining two packages, which include digital rights for 18 matches as well as TV and digital rights for the rest of the globe, is slated to begin tomorrow at noon.
