Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17 in India, bringing significant upgrades to its standard iPhone lineup. Featuring a larger 6.3-inch display with ProMotion technology, enhanced durability, and the powerful A19 chip, the iPhone 17 offers substantial improvements over its predecessor while maintaining an accessible price point.

iPhone 17: Bigger Screen, Better Performance

The iPhone 17 introduces notable enhancements including a more durable Ceramic Shield 2 body, upgraded cameras, and improved battery life. While it doesn’t feature the headline-grabbing changes of Pro models, it delivers meaningful improvements across key areas that matter to everyday users.

Enhanced Design & Superior Durability

The iPhone 17 maintains the familiar flat-edge design but introduces significant durability improvements. Ceramic Shield 2 glass offers three times better scratch resistance than previous versions, while atomic-level coating enhances everyday wear protection.

Softened corners improve comfort during extended use, and the matte back finish effectively reduces fingerprints. The seven-layer anti-reflective coating ensures optimal outdoor visibility even in bright sunlight.

ProMotion Display Finally Arrives

The standout upgrade is the 6.3-inch display with ProMotion technology, offering adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz for smooth scrolling and down to 1Hz when idle. At 3,000 nits peak brightness, this marks the brightest iPhone display ever created.

A19 Chip Performance & Camera Upgrades

Powered by the 3nm A19 chip with 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU architecture, the iPhone 17 delivers significantly faster performance, especially for users upgrading from older models.

Camera improvements include a 48MP dual-fusion rear system supporting 1x and 2x modes, plus an upgraded 18MP front camera with Center Stage AI that automatically adjusts framing when multiple people enter the shot.

Battery life receives a major boost with eight extra hours of video playback compared to iPhone 16, plus rapid charging offering eight hours of streaming from just 10 minutes of charging.
