iPhone 15 Pro leaked factory mold video shows new hardware features

Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 15 Pro variants will be available later this year. Initially, it was speculated that the ‘Pro’ models might use a solid-state solution for the Volume and Power buttons. It was then revealed that Apple had reserved the feature for the iPhone 16 Pro versions due to manufacturing technical issues.

While it is unclear which design the business will go with later this year, we are seeing dummy units and manufacturing moulds of the iPhone 15 Pro, which illustrate what users may expect.

A video was released on Twitter by a leaker after it was posted on the Chinese social networking website Weibo. The video displays a production mould of the iPhone 15 Pro, which offers interesting and perhaps contradictory features about the device. A single extended Volume button may be seen in a previously published video of the dummy unit of the iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Ultra.

The volume buttons look to be divided in the latest factory mould footage of the iPhone 15 Pro, identical to what we now utilise in the full iPhone 14 series.

When the gadget was rumoured to include solid-state buttons, reports of an extended Volume button appeared. Because the company is not using solid-state buttons, we may assume the gadgets will have clicky split Volume buttons.

Aside from that, the manufacturing mould of the iPhone 15 Pro displays an Action button above the Volume buttons. On the ‘Pro’ models, Apple intends to replace the Mute Switch with an Apple Watch Ultra-like Action button. The button, like the Apple Watch Ultra, could be personalised.

Aside from the buttons, the factory mould of the iPhone 15 Pro shows a fairly normal design with a protruded camera plateau and three sensors. On the rear of the unit, there appears to be an engraved MagSafe marking. Also, USB-C is included with the ‘Pro’ models, however it is not shown in the video if it is a USB-C port.
