iOS 18 Beta 3 update: Every detail you need to know

Ahead of its busiest season, Apple’s public beta program is getting ready. Apple is anticipated to deliver several important updates, including the first public betas of macOS Sequoia and iOS 18 beta 3, any day now.

You have the option to pre-enrol in the beta program before the public beta is released, which ensures that your device is prepared to get the latest software as soon as it becomes available.

Apple has made a few minor adjustments to the appearance of the Photos app as of iOS 18 developer beta 3. However, regrettably, none of my significant beta 1 criticisms have received any attention. In light of this, I feel compelled to discuss the objectives of the recently released Photos app, commend its successes, identify areas for improvement, and clarify any unclear elements.

Apple is going for simplicity with iOS 18, which includes a substantial revamp of the Photos app. But the Photos app in iOS 18 developer beta 3 is a disorganized mess of a design that will make users feel lost. When the revised app is made available to the public this fall, I believe Apple will encounter severe criticism if it doesn’t change its strategy.

The LED flash utilized for the Flashlight feature has a larger, more user-friendly interface that allows you to adjust its brightness and spread when you activate it or tap the controls from Dynamic Island.

There has been a change to the RCS interface in the Messages section of the Settings app. It is now a tap-in menu that offers some more context, rather than merely appearing as an on/off toggle. According to Apple, cellular network IDs may be shared with carriers and their partners, and sending and receiving messages using RCS requires wireless data.
