Inter Milan looking to replace Alexis Sanchez with Luka Jovic

Inter Milan are looking to get rid of Alexis Sanchez soon, and already have the replacement for the player outlined. The South American has been unable to perform for the Nerazzurri in recent months since making a loan, and eventually permanent move to Italy from Manchester United.

According to Todo Fichajes, Inter Milan want to offload him from their books and bring in a young new player to help the team. They have reportedly identified this player as well, and it is Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic.

The Serbian spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at former club Benfica. Both players have failed to perform at their respective clubs, with Jovic struggling to properly compete with Karim Benzema for a starting spot in the number nine position. The France international continues to be the undisputed striker for Madrid and no other player comes close.

Offloading Alexis Sanchez will be a key part of the deal since they want Jovic to directly replace the number 7. Due to his underperformance in Italy as well, it will be difficult to have him on the same wage as he is right now, especially since he isn’t the best version of himself anymore.

Despite winning the Serie A title under Antonio Conte last season, Sanchez is not a key player for the champions. So, once his wages are off the books at San Siro, Madrid could let go of the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker.
