The 14th generation Intel Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K, and Core i5-14600K CPUs from Intel are available through Ukrainian store Telemart online. As seen by Momomo_US, the merchant has featured the Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K, Core i5-14600K, and its “KF” sisters from Intel’s 14th generation of unlocked CPUs. The lineup is expected to be revealed at the Innovation event in September, thus the processors don’t yet have prices mentioned, although that could change in the next month.
he Intel Core i9-14900K CPU has 16 cores and 32 threads in an 8+16 configuration. The processor will have up to 36 MB of Smart Cache and a TDP of 125W (253W PL2). It will have a base clock speed of 3.2 GHz and a Thermal Velocity Boost of up to 6.0 GHz. These frequencies are currently for the pre-QS stage, thus we may see the rumoured 6.2 GHz on this chip or a “KS” variation later on. In any case, this is a +200 MHz increase over the Core i9-13900K and the same as the Core i9-13900KS.
Intel’s 8+12 core arrangement with 20 cores and 28 threads will be used for the Core i7-14700K.
This will be a fantastic upgrade over the current Core i7-13700K, which has an 8+8 core arrangement and will provide a nice increase to multi-threading performance thanks to the extra E-Cores. The CPU will have 33 MB of smart cache (up from 30 MB) and clock frequencies ranging from 3.4 GHz at base to 5.6 GHz with TBMT3. This is also a +200 MHz increase over the 13700K, and we may expect performance improvements of 5-10% from this SKU.
Finally, we have the Intel Core i5-14600K, which, contrary to rumours, does not use an 8+8 arrangement but rather a 6+8, which is the same as the Core i5-13600K. The cache and TDP will remain unchanged, while the clock rates will increase by 200 MHz to 5.3 GHz, providing up to a 5% performance advantage over its predecessor.
