Instagram Launches Public Comments on Stories: Here’s What Changes

A new story commenting function has been released by Instagram. On Instagram Stories, users can now post comments that will be available to the public for 24 hours, as seen by everyone. Users’ ability to archive them is unknown, though.

Commenting will now be another new feature added to Instagram Stories. On the platform, this will allow for increased contact and engagement with followers.

To now, the only way to reply to friends’ updates on Instagram Stories has been through emoji reactions. Adding a publicly accessible comment was not possible. This Meta-owned social networking platform is introducing a tool called “Comments in Stories” to all users in an effort to change that. In contrast to story replies that are sent as direct messages to the profile that posted the story, comments are made available to the public.

Additionally, there are two restrictions on the function of the Meta-owned social networking platform. One drawback is that only users who follow the person who posts the tales can see the comments. Moreover, the user’s stories cannot receive comments from anyone they haven’t followed back. In an attempt to stop trolling, some limitations have been added.

How to Add Comments on Instagram Stories

  • Locate the Story you wish to comment on after opening the app.
  • Check Out the Story.
  • Tap the speech bubble-shaped comment icon located at the bottom of the screen to access the comments.
  • Enter the comment field with your message.
  • Write a Comment to submit your comment, tap “Send”.
  • The owner of the story will be alerted, and you will receive a notification if they respond.

Recently, this platform has released a new feature that lets users add text to their photographs right within the post editor, doing away with the need for a separate photo-editing program. Additionally, new text fonts, effects, and animations for Reels and Stories have been released by Instagram.
