Infinix Note 12i 2022 becomes officially available with a 50MP camera and 6.7″ AMOLED screen

With a 90Hz LCD and the Helio G85 SoC, Infinix introduced the Note 12i in Kenya back in May. Today, Infinix unveiled the Note 12i 2022, which has a new screen, look, and memory configurations.

Infinix Note 12i features

The Note 12i 2022 has a 6.7″ AMOLED display with FullHD+ quality, in contrast to the Kenyan Note 12i’s 6.82″ HD+ 90Hz LCD display. The screen of Note 12i 2022 doesn’t specify its refresh rate. Thus it is reasonable to presume that it has a 60Hz panel.
In terms of memory configuration, the Note 12i has 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage while the Note 12i 2022 offers two choices: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. However, both smartphones allow for the extension of virtual RAM and storage.

The Infinix Note 12i 2022 has a 7.8mm thickness, which is 0.5mm less than the Note 12i. Plus, it weighs less than the Note 12i (188g vs. 198g). Additionally, the camera island’s design differs. Instead of having four circles on the back like the Note 12i, it has five, one for the flash and three for the cameras. Just for symmetry, the fifth one.

The Note 12i 2022’s camera arrangement is identical to that of the Note 12i, though. You get a 50MP primary camera, which is accompanied by 2MP depth and QVGA cameras.

The Helio G85 SoC, XOS 10.6, an Android 12-based operating system, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging round out the Infinix Note 12i 2022’s other standout features. A 6-layer 3D graphene cooling system, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and dual speakers with DTS audio are additional characteristics of the smartphone. You also get a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The 6GB/128GB model of the Infinix Note 12i 2022 costs IDR2,299,000 ($150/€153), but is currently on sale in Indonesia at Lazada for IDR2,199,000 ($144/€146) as part of the launch promotion in three colours. Both the 4GB/64GB version’s cost and the smartphone’s accessibility in additional markets are unclear.
