What’s the Show About?
Set in 1912, decades after the failed Indian Rebellion of 1857, The Revolutionaries explores a lesser-known but crucial chapter of India’s independence movement — focusing on young freedom fighters who refused to accept defeat and instead chose to reignite the spirit of rebellion.

The book — and now the series — explores the lives and legacies of figures like Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Aurobindo Ghosh, and Bhikaiji Cama, who remain crucial to the country’s independence narrative. Business Standard This isn’t the Gandhi-centric story we’ve seen a hundred times. This is the other story.
The Cast & Crew That Makes It Epic
Director Nikkhil Advani called the series a “deeply enriching and enlightening experience,” adding that the cast is “ready to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of this story.”
The casting itself is a statement. Bhuvan Bam — known for his comedy as BB Ki Vines — appears in a striking, clean-shaven avatar with fierce eyes, in a transformation that has set the internet ablaze. Rohit Saraf, who rose to fame in Mismatched, and Pratibha Ranta, last seen in Laapataa Ladies, round out the ensemble. Dish TV
