Indian Google Pixel owners can now utilize all of their phone’s features

Even while there are more 5G phones available every day, there are still relatively few individuals utilizing them globally. Fortunately, things are starting to change. Last but not least, Google Pixel smartphones now support the Airtel and Jio 5G networks in India. Originally scheduled for release in December, Google’s update to enable 5G capabilities on its handsets in India has been postponed for an unspecified reason.

Users of the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 7 family of devices who has loaded the Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2 update can now access 5G connectivity on the Jio and Airtel networks.

A stable upgrade is anticipated to be delivered in the upcoming weeks, therefore it’s crucial to keep in mind that this is only a beta version.

Three smartphones presently support India’s 5G network: the Google Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro. The Tensor G2 CPU powers the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, while the Tensor G1 chip powers the Pixel 6. Users can now make use of a 5G network with reduced latency and faster download and upload speeds thanks to the most recent software upgrade.

The Pixel 6a, which supports 19 5G bands, is Google’s most cheap 5G smartphone.

The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, in a similar vein, support 22 5G bands, and all three smartphones feature every essential 5G band necessary to deliver decent inside and outdoor 5G coverage in India. It’s important to note, though, that none of the Google Pixel smartphones in India presently support mmWave 5G bands.

While users of the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro can test the 5G network by installing the most recent beta version, it is advised to hold off until the stable rollout, especially if you want to use the device as your primary smartphone. Beta upgrades occasionally have an impact on the device’s general usability.
