INDIA vs NEW ZEALAND 1st TEST, DAY 3 : Team India leads by 63 runs.

The Day 3 of 1st Test match between India and New Zealand at Green Park, Kanpur. India is leading the game by 63 runs and wickets in hand. the Black Caps made 151 runs, India wrapped up the innings at 296. Axar Patel, led the fight back. Axar Patel clinched hid fifth fifer in the 7th innings of his Test Career.

At the press conference, everyone praised him for his bowling and he rubbished off the claim about only being a white-ball player

In his statement he stated” “I don’t know who said I am a white-ball player. Whenever I have played first-class cricket or for India A, I have performed well. I never thought that I was a white-ball player. It’s all about the mindset, whether you think of yourself as a white-ball or red-ball cricketer. For me, I was waiting for an opportunity to perform (in Test cricket). And when I got a chance during the England series, I did well. I would give credit to the team for placing faith in me and giving me a chance.”

 Day 3 of the 1st Test largely belonged to India. India is ahead of New Zealand by 63 runs. Mayank Aggarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara took India to 14/1 at Stumps. Axar Patel took his fifth five-wicket as New Zealand got bowled out at 296 on Day 3 at Green Park, Kanpur. He later picked to more wickets in the third session. On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Kyle Jamieson on just 23 runs and William Somerville on 6 for the Kiwis final wicket of the innings.

The deliveries are very low which puts an assumption that New Zealand’s chances of a comeback in the fourth innings will be pretty low. However Kane Williamson’s steady knocks can change the entire game.
