In Your Radiant Season Episode: Did Chae Jong Hyeop Just Break Lee Sung Kyung’s Heart Without Even Saying Goodbye?

Just when things were finally warming up between the leads of In Your Radiant Season, the drama pulls the rug right from under us — and under Ha Ran’s feet too. The latest episode is stirring up all the feelings, and fans cannot stop talking about that sudden departure. Here’s your full breakdown.

The Drama So Far: Summer Boy Meets Winter Woman

At its heart, In Your Radiant Season is a beautifully tender romance drama about two people at opposite ends of life’s emotional spectrum. Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong Hyeop) lives every day like a thrilling summer vacation, while Song Ha Ran (Lee Sung Kyung) has shut herself off from the world, frozen in a permanent emotional winter.

Their slow, warm connection has been the highlight of the show — until now.

What Happened in ‘In Your Radiant‘ Latest Episode?

Ha Ran had been counting down to a simple pizza date with Chan after his 10-day business trip to Gyeongju. During that time apart, the two shared their daily lives, and Ha Ran had been slowly — beautifully — thawing. She was even working through Chan’s “how to live joyfully” assignments. Progress!

Then came the gut punch: on his way back to Seoul, Chan was suddenly called to leave for the United States — no proper goodbye, no warning, no closure.

Ha Ran’s Heart Wavers — Then She Vanishes Too

The new stills say everything words can’t. Ha Ran’s usual smile is completely gone, replaced with a complicated mix of longing and quiet hurt. Determined not to fall apart, she decides to tackle Chan’s wish list on her own — doing together things, alone.

But his absence cuts deeper than she expected. Her heart begins to waver all over again — and in a shocking twist, Song Ha Ran suddenly disappears too, leaving everyone around her stunned.

Meanwhile, the Nana Atelier design team is equally shaken. While they hold onto hope for Chan’s return, co-worker Yeon Tae Seok (Kwon Hyuk) raises the very real fear that their entire collaboration project could fall through.

The big lingering question: was Chan’s abrupt departure connected to the mysterious “one inch of memory” he had recently begun recalling? Something tells us the answer will change everything.
