House Arrest Episode 4: Rana’s Escape Attempt Traps Him in a Terrifying Time Loop

Just when you think Rana might finally break free, the supernatural thriller House Arrest pulls the rug out from under him again. Episode 4 dives deeper into the show’s central mystery, and this time, the horror isn’t just psychological — it’s spatial, disorienting, and impossible to escape.

House Arrest: Overview

What Happens in Episode 4

The episode opens with Muskan arriving at Rana’s apartment alongside a house agent carrying duplicate keys, only to find the flat seemingly empty — Rana is actually trapped inside the bathroom the entire time. Frustrated and confused, Muskan storms off, leaving the broker alone to figure out what’s really going on.

Left to investigate, the broker considers calling the authorities, but the property’s watchman shuts that idea down, hinting instead at pocketing a quiet commission from unsuspecting tenants. Their exchange reveals the apartment’s murky, haunted history, painting a picture of a property that’s been exploited for profit rather than properly investigated.

The Loop Closes In

Just as the flat appears completely deserted, Rana breaks free from the bathroom and makes a desperate dash for the exit — only to find himself teleported right back to where he started. The realization hits hard: escape isn’t just difficult, it’s structurally impossible. His panic builds into a full breakdown as he finally grasps the horrifying nature of the trap he’s caught in.

Why This Episode Works

Time-loop horror thrives on escalating dread, and House Arrest leans into that formula effectively — each failed escape attempt raises the stakes without needing jump scares or gore. It’s this kind of tense, psychologically driven storytelling that’s helping the series build a loyal Gen-Z audience.
