Honor has confirmed that it will be launching the Honor Play 5 in China on May 18. The upper mid-range phone from Honor was shared in a few different color variants. The phone will be available in black, grey and white colours.
Honor in a post on Weibo has confirmed that the device will come with a 66W fast charger. There are speculations that Honor may release more than one variant of the Honor Play 5 as there were images that hinted towards a 5G device and an LTE variant with camera differences and minor differences when it came to their specifications.
According to previous rumors, the Honor Play 5 is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 800U and sport a 6.53 inch OLED HD+ screen. The quad cameras are rumored to consist of a main 64MP unit, an 8MP ultrawide, and dual 2MP sensors for depth scanning and macro shots.
An in-display fingerprint scanner and a 3800mAh battery are expected but not confirmed as of yet. It will come with the Android 11 OS. There is no knowledge regarding the front camera of the device, rumors are it may be a 16MP camera however there is no certainty, all we know is the front camera comes in a waterdrop notch style. The pricing of the device is also not clear as of yet.
