Hitwicket’s Squad Rush Is the 4-Player Cricket Gaming Mode That Your Friend Group Has Been Waiting For

Cricket gaming just got a whole lot more social. Hitwicket, India’s beloved cricket strategy game,
has launched Squad Rush — its most ambitious cooperative gameplay update yet — and if you’ve ever wanted to experience the thrill of batting alongside your friends in real time, this is exactly that.

How Hitwicket Squad Rush Actually Works?

Squad Rush builds on Hitwicket’s existing Co-Op format but expands it significantly. Four players form a single squad, sharing a pool of wickets determined by combined squad strength. Each player bats for 5 balls before the strike rotates to the next teammate — so everyone gets their moment at the crease.

The real twist comes with powerups. Unlike standard Co-Op where each of the 6 powerups is chosen and used once, Squad Rush randomly assigns powerups to each player. More importantly, all powerups are fully refilled after Milestone 5 — giving squads a fresh surge of tools right when the challenge peaks and the pressure is highest. It’s a smart design choice that rewards patience and forces genuine strategy in the back half of every match.

The striker controls shot selection (0, 1, 2, 4, or 6) based on probability and activates special abilities — but here’s what keeps everyone engaged: any player in the squad, whether batting or waiting, can activate powerups at any time. No one is just sitting idle watching others play.

Social Play Done Right?

What makes Squad Rush feel genuinely different from a typical mobile game mode is how thoughtfully the social layer has been built. Built-in voice chat lets teammates coordinate in real time — calling for a big shot, warning about a tricky milestone, or celebrating a six together. Pre-defined chat bubbles give players quick communication tools without needing a microphone.

The lobby system is equally well thought out. Create a private lobby and invite your usual crew for a controlled, strategic session. Or jump into a public lobby and potentially meet entirely new players, discover different team lineups, and learn strategies and special abilities you might not have access to in your own roster. It’s a genuinely open ecosystem that rewards exploration.

7 Milestones, Infinite Tension

The core progression — 7 progressively harder milestones, each with a specific run target off a set number of balls — creates a natural tension arc across every match. Early milestones are achievable with decent coordination. By the time you hit milestones 6 and 7, you’re relying on freshly refilled powerups, real-time communication, and a healthy dose of nerves. The game ends when you clear all 7 or lose all shared wickets — and both outcomes feel earned.
