Hero ISL 2018 updates – FC Goa leads the table after match number 8

The beginning of ISL 2018 was not that good for the two-time champions Atletico de Kolkata as the suffered a 2-0 loss against Kerala Blasters on Saturday. Kerala out-played ATK in every aspect to achieve 3 important points from their away game.

In the second match, Bengaluru FC defeated Chennaiyin FC 1-0, as Miku netted the ball home in the 41st minute. Though Chennaiyin FC was the better team for that night, they failed to bite back.

Bengaluru FC at the same time announced a landmark partnership with automobile manufacturing giants Kia Motors.

The third match between Northeast united and Goa became interesting, as both the teams fought eye to eye. At the end of the match, the score was 2-2, which was a direct reflection of the match stats.

On the fourth day, Mumbai city and Jamshedpur FC played head to head. M. Arques and P.M. Blanco scored the two goals for Jamshedpur. The game vibe was highly thrilled until the last minute when Blanco scored for Jamshedpur.

The game between Pune city and Delhi Dynamos was again a 1-1 tie. Both the team nearly had equal ball possession. The scorers were D. Carlos for Pune city and R.Gharami for Delhi Dynamos.

The second match for ATK was also a sad defeat as they lost 0-1 to Northeast United. Sena Ralte saw two consecutive yellow cards to make ATK a ten man squad, which made their game even tougher.

Kerala Blasters and Mumbai city again gifted a 1-1 tie for their fan’s. The scorers were H.Narzary for Kerala and P.Bhumij for Mumbai City.

Yesterday, FC Goa continued their winning streak against Chennaiyin FC by 3-1 at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. Midfielder E.Bedia and striker Coro netted each goal to take the lead.

The defender M.Fall struck the last goal at the 80th minute to seal the match. Chennaiyin’s E.Sabia netted a goal at the last minute of the match to make the scoreline 3-1.

After the first 8 matches of the Hero ISL 2018, it can be said that these teams are yet to perform at their full peak. This is just the beginning and the true colours of these teams can only be judged after they play at least 2-3 game’s each.
