Here’s the list of 10 most important character’s Fortnite lore

It might be challenging to keep up with Fortnite mythology and the islands have seen their fair share of cataclysms, disasters, and, well, cats throughout many seasons and many more storey arcs within those seasons. We won’t blame you if you need a refresher on who’s who in Fortnite legend. To be honest, even writing this was a nice reminder for us.

The following is a list of the key characters in Fortnite mythology. Because Epic likes to drip-feed its big disclosures, we’ll update this article as required, such as when we meet more of the enigmatic Seven or learn more about the Imagined Order’s line of command.

For the time being, these are the ten most essential characters in the Fortnite plot thus far.

10. The Prisoner

We’re saving the tenth slot on the list for The Prisoner, who might be a member of The Seven, a shadowy organization that appears to be at odds with the Imagined Order (IO) over control of the Zero Point and hence the Fortnite island. The Ice King held The Prisoner imprisoned in Polar Peak in Chapter 1, Season 7 until the frozen mountain thawed and allowed The Prisoner to escape. He subsequently constructed a volcano and burned down portions of Athena before disappearing. That is until his portrait emerged in The Bridge, the facility that houses the Zero Point, among verified members of The Seven. Whoever hung the corkboard and adorned it with clues appears to believe The Prisoner is a member of The Seven and based on his helmet, they may be accurate.

9. Midas

Midas took on a large role at the start of Chapter 2 as the leader of GHOST, an alleged paramilitary and espionage division of the IO, becoming the story’s focal point for almost a year. His actions have wreaked havoc on the Fortnite universe, such as when he attempted to break through the Storm and ended up triggering a massive tsunami that swamped the entire island in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3. He was given a great deal of power within GHOST, yet his activities about the Storm don’t appear to have been approved by the IO, as they may have jeopardised Zero Point’s stability. Midas appears to have defected to SHADOW right before launching his Device, which would result in some of the island’s most significant changes to date.

8. Raz

We only saw Raz for one season, but he had a bigger impact on the Fortnite universe than many other characters. In Chapter 2, Season 6, Raz, a member of some sort of cube-worshipping cult, attempted to wield the exposed Zero Point’s powers for his mysterious gains, but by working near the cubes’ dark energy, he became infected by it and ended up screwing with the Zero Point to the point where he effectively pinged the island of Apollo on the map for The Last Reality, Fortnite’s alien faction, to invade. They did just that, resulting in the disastrous cube war. The issue is, was Raz’s revelation of Apollo’s whereabouts exactly what the sentient cubes desired all along?

7. The Cube Queen

The newest addition to this list also appears to be the most nefarious. The Cube Queen appeared in Chapter 2, Season 8 after Raz had beckoned her two seasons before. She appears to be the head of the newest addition to this list also appears to be the most nefarious. The Cube Queen appeared in Chapter 2, Season 8 after Raz had beckoned her two seasons before. She appears to be the head of both The Last Reality and, by extension, the cubes, however, it’s unclear if this is a role she chose or was assigned to her through indoctrination similar to Raz’s. The Cube Queen, like the leader of some form of interdimensional invasive species, is claimed to have devastated “countless realities” in the past. In Chapter 1, Season 5, a single cube (dubbed Kevin by the community) was likely dispatched by the Queen and nearly devastated the island a season later. She appears to be on her way to claiming Apollo as her next trophy, now armed with a full-fledged cube army. both The Last Reality and, by extension, the cubes, however, it’s unclear if this is a role she chose or was assigned to her through indoctrination similar to Raz’s. 6. The Paradigm

So far, we know very little about The Paradigm, but what we do know solidifies her role in the wider Fortnite mythology. She is one of only four known members of The Seven, the game’s enigmatic gang of masked characters who resemble the original Fortnite superheroes. We don’t know how much power they have, but we do know that The Paradigm and her friends are opposed to the Imagined Order, ostensibly because they both want to wrestle with the Zero Point, but they must do it in different ways. The Imagined Order has effectively expelled The Paradigm and those like her, but we may be on the verge of their re-assembly and re-capture of the Zero Point in time.

5. The Scientist

The Scientist, another verified member of The Seven, had a direct influence on how Chapter 1 concluded. In Season X, when the Zero Point on Athena became vulnerable, The Scientist arrived to engage the Zero Point, albeit his motivations are unknown. The Scientist launched a rocket right against the Zero Point using a sophisticated system of rockets and rifts, resulting in the Black Hole that absorbed all of Athena and spewed it out later as the rejuvenated Apollo. This severe procedure appears to be the only way to save the exposed Zero Point, which was previously hidden deep beneath Loot Lake. The omniverse might have ended forever if it hadn’t been for his efforts—or was that his plan all along?

4. The Visitor

The Visitor was the first member of The Seven we saw in the Fortnite plot, arriving on the island in a metal capsule lodged within a meteor in Chapter 1, Season 3. He promptly got to work building a rocket and launching it into the sky, resulting in Fortnite’s first live lore event, Blast Off, in 2018. His intentions with the rocket are unknown at this time, however, one possibility is that he was signalling for the rest of The Seven to reach Athena and maybe reclaim it from IO control. He subsequently resurfaced in Season X, taking The Scientist with him, and was previously thought to be The Seven’s supposed leader, although that’s a role we now know belongs to…

3. The Foundation

The Foundation has recently appeared in Fortnite mythology, and the fact that he’s voiced by Dwayne Johnson indicates that Epic has huge plans for this fourth known member of The Seven. To be completely up to date on his exploits, you’ll need to have read the Batman/Fortnite: Foundation one-shot comic, but here are the highlights: After a brief altercation with Jonesy during the Zero Crisis Finale in Chapter 2, Season 6, the Foundation agreed to assist with the repair of the Zero Point in exchange for information on the whereabouts of Gen and The Sisters, whose names remain unknown to this day.

2. Doctor Slone

Slone has earned a name for herself as the IO’s brutal leader—or, at the very least, the highest-ranking member we’ve encountered thus far. Her cruelty is undeniably unquestionable. She originally appeared in Chapter 2, Season 7, and gathered loopers (players) to fight back against The Last Reality’s invasion. She would subsequently betray them by leaving loopers to perish in the explosion zone of the alien Mothership’s bomb, which they had helped sneak onboard. Her treason did not go as planned, as the cubes awoke and took over Apollo, rescuing some loopers but leading to the Chapter 2 end.

1. John Jones

John Jones, sometimes known as Agent Jones, sometimes known as Jonesy, is the protagonist of Fortnite. Much of the Fortnite tale is told through his eyes and the words of Troy Baker. Jones was a member of the Imagined Order dispatched to fix the Zero Point in Chapter 2, and to that goal, he enlisted the support of several of the omniverse’s finest hunters, including Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, and The Mandalorian. When he was unable to safeguard it, Jones disregarded his IO directives and called The Seven, hoping that they might preserve reality. The IO was unwilling to do so since it would re-ignite the conflict between the two sides, so Jones abandoned them for what he regarded as the greater good. Jones was able to defend the Zero Point for a time with the support of The Foundation.
