Where to Find Supernova Weapons

Primary Locations

Supernova Academy (Best Option) Supernova Gear is found inside Academy Stands and Hero Caches, which are easily found at the Supernova Academy. You’ll find Supernova Academy in the northern half of Fortnite’s map above Brutal Boxcars and west of the First Order Base.

Academy Tech Lab The easiest location to find Supernova Gear is on the bottom floor of the Academy Tech Lab, which is the southeastern building of Supernova Academy. Inside, you’ll find three vaults — Rank C, Rank B, and Rank A — with each containing at least one Supernova Gear.

Alternative Methods

Island Loot You can usually find Fortnite Supernova Gear scattered around the island as floor loot, within Chests, or Hero Caches. While less reliable, this method doesn’t require specific map knowledge.

NPC Purchases Certain Fortnite characters also sell it for gold bars. Keep an eye out for NPCs offering these weapons during your matches.

How to Unlock Hero Caches

Players can unlock different versions of the Hero Cache by upgrading their Hero Rank, thus allowing them to unlock unique variants of the Hero Cache with superior loot. Higher ranks provide access to more powerful weapons and exotic variants.

Rank Progression:

Rank C: Basic Supernova gear
Rank B: Enhanced versions
Rank A: Premium weapons
Rank S: Unstable Exotics are available exclusively from Rank S Hero Caches and Academy Tech Labs

Strategic Tips for Using Supernova Weapons

These superhero-themed weapons aren’t just about raw damage – they’re about tactical advantages. The Bass Boost excels at crowd control, while Killswitch Revolvers provide reliable high-damage output. Myst Gauntlets offer unique mystical abilities that can turn the tide of battle.

For maximum effectiveness, combine these weapons with strategic positioning and team coordination. The Unstable variants are particularly powerful but require careful handling due to their unique mechanics.

Quest Requirements

You are required to deal damage using Bass Boost, Killswitch Revolvers, or Myst Gauntlets for various quest completions. Make sure to prioritize these weapons when working through your weekly challenges.
