Hanuman Ansh Box Office: Rs 292 Crore After Eight Weeks and the Rs 300 Crore Milestone Is Next

Most films fade by week eight. Hanuman Ansh is still setting records. The devotional drama based on Neem Karoli Baba’s story has just delivered the biggest 8th weekend in Indian box office history, and the Rs 300 crore mark is almost within reach.

Hanuman Ansh: Key Numbers

What Makes This Run Special?

The film collected Rs 18 crore nett over its 8th weekend, a drop of only about 35 per cent from the week before, even with two fresh releases in theaters. It also took the crown for the biggest 8th week of all time, and the previous record holder isn’t close.

The slow start makes it even more impressive. The film earned under Rs 1 crore in each of its first two weeks, then exploded from week three onward, a pattern usually fueled by strong word of mouth.

The Road Ahead

Trade tracking expects the film to cross Rs 300 crore by the end of this week. Its next challenge is the arrival of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion, which could dent its numbers a little, though Pinkvilla notes the film has nothing to lose.

The forecast is optimistic:

• Best case: Over Rs 350 crore nett in its full run.
• Safe bet: Around Rs 325 crore nett, given the competition.
