Hakim Ziyech takes control of future with agent split ahead of 2022 transfer

Hakim Ziyech has announced that he is parting ways with his agents after 12 years. The player has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with a move to AC Milan looking likely for the winger this summer. 

The player featured only 23 times for Chelsea this past season, and is now looking to move to San Siro in search of more playing time. The Rossoneri need a notable man on their right wing, and Ziyech could be exactly what they need going forward. 

Hakim Ziyech announces management change decision 

The 29-year-old released the following statement on his social media, confirming the same: 

“I have reached a point in my life where I feel the time is right for me to take full control over my professional future,” said Ziyech in a statement posted to Instagram.

“I want negotiations and decisions about my career to be made by me. So moving forward, my team and I, together with our legal representatives, will handle the business side of things.

“Professional interest should be directed to the contact info in my bio. I remain incredibly grateful for your continued support.”

With Raheem Sterling and another offensive player set to join the club, there is a good chance that Hakim Ziyech will be pushed further down the pecking order. So, a move away, especially when Thomas Tuchel is open to it, is best for all parties involved. And as things stand, the player will be negotiating things himself.
