Gurugram Comic Con Debut Draws 22,000 Fans to the Millennium City

Gurugram just got its first Comic Con — and the city showed up in style. The inaugural Gurugram Comic Con, presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, wrapped up on March 15 at Gym Khana Club Ground with over 22,000 fans across two days. Organised by NODWIN Gaming under its Comic Con India IP, the debut edition brought cosplayers, anime fans, gamers, comic readers, and creators together in a city better known for its corporate corridors.

What Made the Debut Edition Special

The creators’ stage was a standout — fans gathered for sessions with internationally acclaimed comic artist Raymund Bermudez alongside Indian illustrators, plus a deep-dive with the team behind Mahavatar Narasimha on bringing mythology to animated life.

The Comic Con Jukebox brought live sets from rappers Ikka and Dharmik alongside indie artist Gini, while the Comedy Showcase with Jaspreet Singh and Onkar Yadav packed the stage with pop culture humour.

Cosplay, as always, stole the show. Characters from Demon Slayer, One Piece, Witcher, Batman, Spider-Man, and Naruto filled the venue, with over 250 cosplayers competing across both days. The Indian Championship of Cosplay Gurugram Qualifier saw Vandana Sharma’s stunning Warcraft Orc cosplay take the top prize and a spot at the ICC Finals 2026.

The NODWIN Gaming Arena also drew competitive crowds throughout the weekend. Comic Con India CEO Shefali Johnson captured the spirit perfectly — watching superheroes and anime characters walk through Cyber City made for some genuinely special moments.
