Ground Zero Trailer: A First Look at Courage Under Fire

Unveiled on Monday, the Ground Zero trailer wastes no time plunging viewers into a war-torn landscape, where duty and danger go hand in hand. Inspired by actual events from 2015, the film follows a mission recognized as the Border Security Force’s finest in 50 years. Emraan Hashmi takes charge as Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey, commanding respect and channeling raw intensity as he leads his team through hostile territory.

His chilling line—“Ab prahaar hoga”—anchors the trailer with powerful intent, signaling a shift from defense to decisive action. The teaser teems with sequences that balance strategic warfare with emotional gravitas, inviting the audience into a story that is as human as it is heroic.

Real Events, Real Stakes: The Man Behind the Mission

The Ground Zero trailer gives viewers a glimpse into a historical operation that altered the course of counter-insurgency in Kashmir. Commandant Dubey was instrumental in eliminating the notorious terrorist mastermind Ghazi Baba, a figure behind numerous attacks on Indian soil. For his extraordinary bravery and leadership, Dubey was awarded the Kirti Chakra in 2005.

This film doesn’t just dramatize a military feat—it honors a figure whose courage reverberated across the nation. Hashmi, stepping into this significant role, portrays a man wrestling with the burdens of command, the volatility of war, and the cost of silence in times of turmoil.

Patriotism Meets Personal Struggles

The Ground Zero trailer doesn’t stop at showcasing action. It intricately weaves in the emotional toll that prolonged conflict extracts from soldiers and their families. From tear-filled farewells to moments of quiet strength, the trailer touches on the invisible wounds of war.

Rather than glorify violence, the film appears to spotlight the resilience of those who live with its consequences every day. Soldiers on the frontlines, civilians caught in the crossfire, and loved ones anxiously waiting back home—all find a voice in this narrative.

A Stellar Cast Enhancing the Narrative

Joining Emraan Hashmi are Sai Tamhankar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Zoya Hussain, each bringing depth to their roles. Their characters mirror the layered realities of Kashmir, capturing diverse perspectives within the broader canvas of the conflict. The ensemble contributes to the film’s authenticity, grounding the story in lived experience.

Director Tejas Deoskar crafts the story with intensity and sensitivity, while Excel Entertainment—helmed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar—brings its trademark finesse to the production. With co-producers including Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, and Sundeep C Sidhwani, the film has robust creative backing.

When and Where to Watch

The Ground Zero trailer confirms that the film will release in theatres on April 25, positioning it as a must-watch for fans of military dramas and stories of true valor.

Its theatrical debut aims to spark conversations around bravery, sacrifice, and the untold stories of those who protect the nation from the shadows.
