Emraan Hashmi’s intense romantic drama closed its second week at Rs 29.20 crore, with a sharp drop on the second Wednesday and Thursday as Yash’s Toxic opened wide and pulled away screens. Thursday alone brought in just Rs 50 lakh. But the makers aren’t panicking — a Buy-One-Get-One offer timed for the Raksha Bandhan weekend could give the film a much-needed third-weekend bump.

Intense love stories built around powerful music made a comeback last year, and that shift reminded audiences of Emraan Hashmi, the actor who defined this genre through hits like Murder 2, Raaz 3, and Jannat 2 in the early 2010s before his career cooled off.
